Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers on Monday killed a Divisional Police Officer attached to Agbarho police division in the Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State.
The spokesman for the state police command, Bright Edafe, confirmed the incident to journalists in Asaba.
He said the gunmen also attacked the DPO of Ororoekpe Division.

The second DPO, according to him, is receiving treatment in a hospital in the area.
The spokesman added that the DPOs led the operatives to conduct an operation in the area when hoodlums laid ambush and shot at them.
He said the operatives are on the attackers’ trail.
