Human rights advocate knocks Femi Adesina for berating Nigeria’s healthcare system

Nigerians have slammed Femi Adesina’s careless remarks regarding Buhari’s treatment not being provided in Nigeria due to a poor healthcare system. The president of AMPEF, Comrade Prince Saviour Iche queries whether Adesina is implying that Nigeria lacks competent medical professionals or a strong healthcare system, given that the healthcare sector’s shortcomings arise from a failure to maintain and improve hospital equipment to meet acceptable healthcare standards.
He further stated,
“Femi Adesina must explain to Nigerians what he meant in detail when he said that Buhari being treated in Nigeria would have killed him a long time ago. His reckless speech begs the question, does Femi mean that Nigeria does not have quality doctors? How can quality doctors perform with inadequate equipment?”
“Femi’s shameful remark in mockery of Nigeria’s health care sector further portrays how poor the sector has become. It is also unfortunate that those previously in government, “Femi Adesina and his late principal, Pres. Muhammadu Buhari”, know how deteriorating the healthcare sector has been in their 8 years of leadership yet subjected the masses to patronise and embrace Nigeria’s poor healthcare system.”
“Buhari was close to Femi Adesina, who served as his spokesperson. When he was in charge, why didn’t he advise Buhari to construct a hospital that would be comparable to those used overseas? Femi Adesina would have been detained and interrogated for his statement if he had been in a nation with law and order.”
“Why is the Nigerian government unable to create an advanced healthcare sector here as seen abroad? Are they unaware that some medical conditions make flying unsafe, as recommended by the doctor? What, then, is the true issue with our politicians? The president and all other branches of government must respond to this query.”
“Femi Adesina is aware that Nigerian hospitals are death traps, but what has been done to address this in his 8 years of reign with his principal Pres. Muhammadu Buhari? His boldness is quite shameful. According to Adesina, Nigerian hospitals are death traps, and the general public cannot afford to travel overseas for medical care, unlike politicians. Adesina, who stated that Buhari’s treatment in Nigeria would have killed him long ago, needs to go into depth to explain what he meant to Nigerians.”
“The so called abroad hospitals that they run to, live situations have shown that they still die there even as advanced as these hospitals are, Nigeria do not lack expertise, they are left with little or nothing to work with as tools of engagement.”
“Regarding Nigerian politicians, I would like to inform them that, regardless of whether they construct quality hospitals for the general public or not, we will continue to live off of native herbs because God, who is aware that we have evil leaders in authority, is protecting the people.”
Comrade Prince Saviour Iche nudges politicians to be held accountable for their actions, stating that Nigerian hospitals are death traps for politicians and the wealthy, while the masses struggle with limited treatment options. Iche believes that the masses will continue to survive with alternative medicines (local herbs), as they are protected by God, and urges President Tinubu’s government to upgrade the Nigerian healthcare system and equip doctors.
