Husband ties wife to well over alleged infidelity; boyfriend escapes through window

Angry at the discovery of his wife’s alleged infidelity, truck driver Muiywa Sikiru publicly humiliatedhis wife by tying her to a well in Oke-Aro area of Akure, the capital of Ondo state.
It was gathered that the husband had travelled for three months only to return to discover that another man was cohabiting with his wife in their matrimonial home.
He is working out of state but wants to settle his wife and three-year-old son in Akure state.
When he arrived at his home, sources said his neighbors and friends who noticed another man had moved in with his wife informed him of the escapade of his wife.

Angry at the bad news, he allegedly dragged the woman out of the room and tied her to a well outside the house. The boyfriend, who had gone to the bathroom to shower, escaped through the window when he heard the man shouting.
Information gathered reveals that some elders in the area intervened and stopped the husband from harming the wife and took the couple to the police station for an amicable settlement of the matter.
However, the husband, insisted that the intruder and his wife’s boyfriend should be arrested and that he was ready to press charges against him.
