Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, a seasoned Nollywood actress, revealed that she once went to a dangerous neighborhood in Mushin, Lagos State, to look for money to assist cover her brother’s tuition.

The actress reportedly discussed the incident while appearing on The Afropolitan Show, where she clarified that she was just 15 years old at the time.

She claims that she was brought to the region by a film industry colleague to meet some men who were known to lend money.

Omotola clarified that in order to reach the location where the men were waiting, they had to travel through a difficult area.

According to her, the individuals were regarded as violent and had a reputation in the community for handling debts.

She said that when she got there, she begged them for financial assistance because her brother had to pay his tuition.

The actress claimed that because she was young and surrounded by males who were known to cause problems, the scenario was intimidating. She acknowledged that the interaction might have gone horribly, but she feels safe and unharmed.

“There was also a time when a colleague in the industry took me to some place in Mushin, some ghetto place,” she remarked. We traversed this unstable area. I was fifteen or so at the time. When we arrived at this location, these terrible lads were in a sitting room. I pleaded with them, telling them that I needed money to pay my brother’s tuition. And the way this guy looked at me, I could have been raped.

The actress claimed that in the end, the males gave in to her plea for money. Later on, though, she encountered difficulties when it came time to pay back the debt.

She said that the money could not be returned as arranged. Due to the overdue amount, the lenders became agitated and started threatening her.

She clarified that the men went to confront her family after the matter got to her house. The family’s TV and DVD player were among the things they removed from the residence during that visit in an attempt to get the money they thought was owed.
