According to Buba Galadima, a leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), President Bola Tinubu asked him to serve in his administration, but he declined.
At Nduka Obaigbhena’s mother’s funeral, Galadima claims that Tinubu personally approached him four times, but he declined each time.
The NNPP leader who revealed the information in an interview with AIT on Wednesday said he declined the offer because he believed that if he accepted the position, he wouldn’t be able to be honest with President Tinubu.

“Tinubu got up from his chair and approached me four times to ask if I could work for him during Obaigbhena’s mother’s funeral, but I declined,” Galadima recalled.
In the same interview, Galadima revealed how President Tinubu helped his daughter land a job at the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC), as previously reported.
Galadima revealed that even though he frequently criticizes the government led by the All Progressives Congress (APC), he still has a personal friendship with President Tinubu.
