Iyabo Ojo, a Nollywood actress and businessman, has conveyed her strong emotional belief in her daughter Priscilla Ojo’s marriage, claiming that she has paid the price for her daughter’s future fulfillment.
During Monday, July 28, Iyabo spoke at Priscilla’s baby shower in Canada and said she had gone through enough hardship and sacrifice to make sure her daughter wouldn’t have the same marital problems and mishaps as she experienced.
“Your marriage will work, Princess. God knows that you married the appropriate man, so you will grow old with him. Yours will work if mine doesn’t, because I made the sacrifice for it to work,” she added as the guests applauded and wept.
Despite considerable scrutiny, she encouraged other mothers to support their children without reservation and not let public opinion influence them.
“No matter what, I will never deny my children their benefits. I have to bear the weight of it.

Speaking on her own struggles with spiritual and generational issues, Iyabo added:
“Ancestral curses are something that you have to stop in order to break.”
Only a few months after videos of Priscilla’s spectacular wedding went viral online, including the pair being doused with US dollars and Naira, her heartfelt homage was posted.
The extravagant ceremony drew criticism from the public and attracted the attention of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), which then asked Iyabo to testify.
After confirming the encounter, she disclosed that the EFCC forced her to write a statement before releasing her and confronted her with wedding video proof.
Despite the controversy, Iyabo Ojo is firm in her hope that Priscilla’s marriage will endure, unlike her own, which ended badly. She also expresses her pride in her daughter’s journey.
