Former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose has cautioned former Vice President Atiku Abubakar against running for president in 2027 on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, or PDP.
Fayose promised that if Atiku dared to run on the PDP platform, he would fight him.
During his appearance on Channels TV’s Politics Today on Friday, he revealed this information.
Additionally, after President Bola Tinubu’s term, Fayose stated that a Southerner could not be elected president of Nigeria.
He declared: “I’m warning you that I will work against Atiku if he returns.” The moment has come to learn our lessons. Nigerians want to hear, decide, and come to an understanding.

“A chief executive’s authority remains intact as long as he does not misuse it.”
If an Asiwaju states, “My ADC should shoot that man because I am the commander-in-chief, should the ADC do the same? No.
“The truth is that the party’s domination needs to be fair and accountable. Children of irresponsible parents will also have irresponsible circumstances, unruly behavior, and wrath.
“People can say whatever they want, but let a Southerner run for president of Nigeria after Asiwaju’s term is over. I will also come out and say that a Southerner cannot be president.”
