Lolo 1, a Nigerian actress and on-air personality (OAP), revealed that she was sexually assaulted by a coworker six years prior.
She revealed that she still struggles with the horrific rape experience and finds herself in a panic attack whenever she sees the perpetrator.
Speaking on a recent Say My Piece podcast episode, Lolo 1 reportedly revealed the information.

She also talked about how hard it is for rape victims to come forward, as the guy who raped her is now a well-known personality in the television profession.

“I’m not ready to tell the whole story of my experience,” the actress continued.

“As a woman, I would hardly say this, and I’m not prepared to share the tale. Our coworker was the one who raped me, the only rape I have ever experienced. Every other day, I see him. Are you aware of the extent of my trauma? People would ask why Lolo hasn’t talked about it for the past six years if a woman of my caliber named him. He is well-known in the broadcast community. When I meet him, I just go into a little panic.

She’s speaking now that he’s assuming a major role on television. The first thing that happens to a woman who has experienced sexual assault is denial that “this did not happen.”

The next step is self-crucifixion: “I did it for myself; how did I let it slip through my fingers? How might I have responded? As you are processing, all of these things are taking place,” she explained.
