Any organization trying to instigate divisions or crises inside the party faces retaliation from the Jigawa State branch of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The party chairman, Hon. Aminu Sani Gumel, signed a statement that said as much.
“The actions of some of the party’s enemies who are desperate to cause a crisis within the party by launching smear campaigns against party leaders in the state have caught the attention of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Jigawa State chapter,” the statement reads.
“The party has been keeping a careful eye on a number of posts on social media and in the mainstream media that demonstrate deliberate attempts by some dishonest people to dissemble our wonderful party.
“These elements, who are not even party members, are using their influence over a few narrow-minded party members to further their self-serving agenda at the expense of the party’s peace and stability.”
The chairman further stated that the principles and continuity of the previous state government, which was led by Alhaji Muhammad Badaru Abubakar, are reflected in the APC-led government in Jigawa State, which is headed by Governor Malam Umar Namadi.

The party has faith in the two leaders, who are highly respected. We revere their reputations and must jealously guard them.
He went on to say, “Jigawa APC will never permit any misguided element to cause discomfort or a situation that might prevent the APC-led government in Jigawa State and Nigeria as a whole from fulfilling its campaign promises.”
“An investigation will be conducted and appropriate action will be taken regarding any such fabricated, sponsored report against our leader, the Hon. Minister of Defense, Muhammad Badaru Abubakar.”
The statement further claimed that the anonymous group, which has no contact information with Jigawa State’s APC headquarters, has falsely accused the minister of anti-party activities and other things.
The chairman issued a warning, saying that Jigawa APC would take all necessary legal and political measures to find the group and its sponsors.
Some party members who support Jigawa State Governor Malam Umar Namadi and former Governor and Minister of Defense Muhammad Badaru Abubakar have been seen to be involved in a political battle that seems to be intended to drive a wedge between the two leaders.
