Kenneth Okonkwo, a former spokesperson for the Labour Party (LP) Presidential Campaign Council, has predicted that in the general elections of 2027, a group of well-known politicians will defeat President Bola Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC).
In an interview on Sunday Politics on Channels Television, Okonkwo stated that the alliance, which consists of former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, and other major figures, has the framework and plan to win.
Know that I am a member of the coalition. Many people are unaware of this coalition’s engine room, but I can tell you about it. According to Okonkwo, the APC won’t know what hit them in 2027.

Reports that the alliance has applied to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to create a new political party, the All Democratic Alliance (ADA), have been denied by Festus Keyamo, Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development.
On June 20, 2025, Keyamo wrote on Twitter that the action was disproportionate and had no political significance. He maintained that the purported merger does not involve any recognized political parties, in contrast to the APC’s creation in 2013. He clarified that the organization behind ADA’s registration is not a formal coalition or party merger, but rather a small collection of people expressing their fundamental rights.
