The contentious Tax Reform Bills that President Bola Tinubu has presented to the National Assembly have the support of Hassan Kukah, the Catholic Bishop of the Sokoto Diocese.
Kukah claimed that the measures might lessen the carelessness of the nation’s elite and public office holders while appearing on Channels Television’s Morning Brief.
Effective changes are crucial to the development of the country, the clergyman said, adding that if the measures are signed into law, they might improve Nigeria’s fiscal management and address financial mismanagement.
