The All Progressives Congress (APC) Lagos State chapter has formally launched an electronic membership registration campaign throughout the entire state.
In order to develop a comprehensive digital membership database, the party said that the e-registration campaign, which started on Monday, will run until the end of January and target both new and current members.
Seye Oladejo, the spokeswoman for the Lagos APC, said in a statement that the action is intended to improve the accuracy of party statistics, boost internal democracy, and get the party ready for future elections.
“Every member will be accurately documented and verifiable thanks to the adoption of digital registration, which will help eliminate duplication and impersonation,” Oladejo stated.
The effort, he continued, ensures equitable recognition for both new and long-standing members, reducing gatekeeping procedures and fostering transparency throughout the party’s structures.
Oladejo emphasized that holding transparent congresses, primaries, and leadership selection procedures requires a trustworthy and trustworthy membership registration.
He pointed out that utilizing technology will improve grassroots coordination and electoral readiness while promoting involvement from young people, professionals, and new political entrants.
The APC spokesperson called on all Lagos State members to fully participate in the exercise, characterizing it as a shared duty essential to the party’s expansion and democratic procedures.
