According to Babajide Kolade-Otitoju, Director of News at Television Continental (TVC), Seyi Makinde, the governor of Oyo State, would have defected if he had been serving his first term.
According to reports, Otitoju made this statement on Friday’s “Breakfast Show” on TVC while discussing the PDP issue and defections that have rocked the party.
He emphasized that two judges had prevented Makinde’s team from convening the PDP’s National Convention in Ibadan last November, calling it a pointless waste of time.
Otitoju went on to say that if Makinde had been in his first term, he would have defected to another party, such as the “dancing governor,” endangering his second term.
“People must exhibit good judgment at a critical phase,” he stated. What purpose did that convention serve? Despite being instructed not to proceed by two courts, you proceeded.
“Even if I don’t like former Senate President Bukola Saraki, I’ll be the first to acknowledge anything he says that makes sense. When he said, “Let’s go for caretaker,” it made logical. Why don’t you pay attention to him?
