Nigeria’s National Hajj Commission (NAHCON) reports that 34,647 pilgrims from Madina have arrived in Makkah thus far to participate in the Hajj ceremonies in 2025.
In an interview with Makkah journalists on Monday, Alhaji Alidu Shutti, the Deputy Coordinator of the NAHCON Office in Makkah, revealed this.

The commission, according to Shutti, who also serves as the Director of Inspectorate and Compliance, was ready to help the pilgrims have a flawless Hajj experience.
We have received 34,647 as of yesterday (Sunday), therefore I would like to use this opportunity to let you know that everything is going well so far.
We would like to let you know that we are on track, but as I speak to you, some pilgrims have been led into their Makkah lodging.
He declared, “We are ready and willing to help Allah’s guests accomplish the Hajj Mabur.”
He claims that NAHCON and the Saudi Ministry of Hajj have been meeting with service providers on a regular basis.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has been holding these update sessions, even at the level of Deputy Minister in the Ministry of Hajj.
“And we went over our operational level, our past actions, and our future plans during the meeting. “It is simply to ensure that every detail is taken care of in order to ensure the success of the Hajj operations,” he stated.
Shutti also praised the Saudi government for providing the commission with the consular support it needed to facilitate the Hajj.
“We would also like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude to our chief hosts in the kingdom, which are the Nigerian Consulate-General in Jeddah and the Nigerian Embassy in Riyadh.”
“They have been incredibly helpful and amazing.” According to him, they have been providing the commission with the consular support it needs to ensure the Hajj is a success.
The NAHCON official also praised the staff members’ cooperation and teamwork in order to offer the pilgrims effective and efficient services.
To guarantee the success of the Hajj activities, he claims that everyone is working nonstop.
Our task is to attend to Allah’s guests in an efficient and effective manner.
It is also to guarantee that the pilgrims’ money is utilized for the services and that they are rendered appropriately, as specified in the contract they signed with the service provider.

We have representatives from monitoring and assessment as well. The type of services being provided to the pilgrims is to be observed and assessed by them,” he stated.
