At least 15 people have been seriously injured following a mass shooting attack in Jerusalem, Israel.
Israel’s paramedic service, Magen David Adom, who confirmed the development, said the incident occurred on Monday morning.
Authorities revealed that about six people among the victims are currently in critical condition.
Multiple Israeli media outlets have reported that two gunmen boarded a bus and opened fire on passengers.
The attack happened mid morning at the Ramot Junction, near highway 1 which runs between Jeruasalem and Tel Aviv.
Israeli police also confirmed the incident, describing as a suspected terrorist attack. The police also revealed that the gunmen were killed at the scene.
The shooting took place at a major intersection at the northern entrance to Jerusalem, on a road that leads to Jewish settlements located in east Jerusalem.
According to police, the two men opened fire in the Jaffa neighbourhood of Tel Aviv, including shooting directly into a light rail carriage crowded with passengers that was stopped at a station.
