The Nollywood star Mercy Johnson-Okojie has denied rumors that she had cancer and required thyroid surgery.
On Monday, there were rumors circulating that the actress had disclosed her struggle with thyroid cancer, which ultimately resulted in the removal of her thyroid.
The celebrity actress was mentioned in stories from multiple news outlets as stating that she had a cancer scare and had surgery to remove her thyroid after speaking with veteran actress Joke Silva.
However, Mercy maintained that she never had cancer as claimed in a video that she shared on social media on Tuesday.
She revealed that she had a cancer scare because of thyroid swelling in the one-minute, seven-second video tape. She also emphasized that the interview she had with her senior colleague was edited, and the outcome was that she had admitted to having cancer.
