Over the previous week, security forces in Nigeria have effectively killed 82 terrorists, captured 198 criminals, and rescued 93 people who had been kidnapped while conducting internal operations.
The military also confiscated 2,040 rounds of ammo and 86 high-caliber guns from various operations zones.
In a statement released on Friday, Maj.-Gen. Markus Kangye, Director of Defense Media Operations, revealed these events.
He further disclosed that the 41 terrorists who turned themselves in to the Operation Hadin Kai forces were 10 men, 12 women, and 19 children.
Security forces seized crude oil and other illicitly obtained petroleum products worth more than ₦500 million in the Niger Delta region.
600 liters of kerosene, 117,320 liters of unlawfully processed diesel, and 366,530 liters of stolen crude oil were among the confiscated goods, according to Kangye.
In addition, troops found and destroyed thirty-two boats, three speedboats, sixty storage tanks, thirty-four drums, thirty-two dugout pits, thirty-two crude oil cooking furnaces, and thirty-two illegal processing sites,” he said. Among other things, troops found 152 different types of weapons and ammo, five magazines, and detained 22 oil thieves.

According to the defense spokesperson, among the weapons found were three pump-action shotguns, 19 Dane guns, 18 locally manufactured firearms, and 46 AK-47 rifles.
Additionally, 1,165 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition, 128 rounds of 7.62mm NATO rounds, 600 rounds of 12.7mm ammunition, and 51 cartridges were seized by security personnel.
