The outgoing Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Regional Development, Dr Shuaib Belgore, has handed over to the newly appointed Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mrs Tinuke Watti.
Dr Belgore, while delivering his farewell speech, reflected on his tenure and the strides made in fostering sustainable regional development.

In his address, he briefed the new permanent secretary on the activities of each department and expressed gratitude to the Ministry’s staff for their unwavering support and commitment, which he credited as the cornerstone of the Ministry’s achievements.
“It has been an honour to serve in this capacity and to work alongside such talented and dedicated individuals. I am confident that the same level of support will be given to the new permanent secretary, Mrs Tinuke Watti, which will help steer the Ministry toward even greater achievements,” Dr Belgore stated.
In her acceptance speech, the newly appointed Permanent Secretary, Mrs Watti, highlighted her vision for inclusive and impactful regional development, emphasising collaboration and innovation as key pillars of her administration.
“I am deeply honoured to take on this responsibility. Together, we will continue to advance the Ministry’s mission, ensuring that our regional development initiatives positively impact and transform lives,” said Mrs Watti.
