Reexamining the Mo’Hits breakup, well-known singer D’banj said that Don Jazzy, his partner and top producer and music mogul, was the one who proposed they split.
Recall that in 2012, Don Jazzy declared the dissolution of Mo’Hits, claiming a disagreement with D’banj.
In a recent episode of Seun Okinbaloye’s Mic On podcast, D’banj asserted that Don Jazzy was solely to blame for Mo’Hits’ breakup.
“I wouldn’t have changed anything about my relationship with Don Jazzy if I could go back in time, especially because it wasn’t my idea to part ways. It originated entirely with Don Jazzy. We don’t have any problems because of this.
“Jazzy provided me all of my tunes and perhaps ten more that I haven’t yet released. He said, “It was a journey for me, even though he had his opinion. I knew that we needed to cement that global movement, and I’m glad that God still did it for us with ‘Oliver Twist,’ which was the last record we released together.”
D’banj emphasized that their breakup was inevitable and stated that he doesn’t regret splitting from Don Jazzy.
But he said that he missed working with Don Jazzy.
