Nigerians have received a warning from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, or EFCC, to refrain from corrupt activities in 2025 and to hold fast to their anti-corruption stance.
The nation’s future and development, according to commission head Ola Olukoyede, who issued this warning on Tuesday, depend on everyone working together to fight financial and economic crimes.
The head of the EFCC emphasized in his New Year’s address to the populace that combating corruption was essential to raising everyone’s standard of living in Nigeria and developing the country’s economy.
In the New Year, the chair of the anti-graft agency encouraged people to reaffirm their commitment to the principles of openness, responsibility, and honesty.

“Our commitment to honesty and responsible behavior is the only thing that can propel the economy to its highest levels and improve our lives,” he stated.

Olukoyede gave Nigerians the assurance that the EFCC was on track to surpass its 2024 accomplishments and that the officers would not give up on pursuing justice.

Another year of tearing down corruption’s buildings will be 2025. We are fully committed and have a clear focus,” he continued.
