According to an article on the World Bank’s website, the Nigerian government hopes to get a $1.65 billion loan approved by the organization in 2025.
Three major projects that the Nigerian government has suggested will be decided by the global bank in 2025.
Politics Nigeria is aware that the loan aims to solve some of the nation’s developmental shortcomings.
On April 8, 2025, the World Bank is expected to approve the $300 million commitment amount for the first loan project, Solutions for the Internally Displaced and Host Communities Project.
The government said the loan will assist solve the nutrition and education issues that IDPs across confront.

Additionally, HOPE for Quality Basic Education for All is the second project, which has a $553.8 million commitment and an approval deadline of March 20, 2025.
A $800 million finance fund is being proposed for the third and final project, Accelerating Nutrition Results in Nigeria 2.0, with an approval date of February 20, 2025.
The global financial organization will deliberate on the projects and grant further permission if needed at a meeting scheduled for February 20, 2025.
