From Buni Yadi in Yobe State to Doma Local Government Area in Nasarawa State, the Nigerian Army has relocated its Special Forces Training School.
According to reports, Lt.-Gen. Olufemi Oluyede, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), made the announcement of the move at the 4 Special Forces Command, Doma, at the groundbreaking ceremony and the opening of new projects.
Oluyede stated that the purpose of the relocation was to give the elite unit a better environment in which to train for challenging security situations.
“The school’s relocation was made in order to give our special forces the best possible training environment and to give them the skills and competencies that are necessary for the unique nature of their missions,” he said.

Inspiring upcoming generations of elite soldiers, he expressed hope that the new site will soon serve as a “beacon of excellence and professionalism” inside the Nigerian Army.

The COAS stated that his government is still dedicated to providing the best training possible for special forces so they can compete effectively with their international counterparts.

The training offered here is expected to equip our soldiers to handle the dynamic and ever-changing security threats of today. “I’m here not just to lay the groundwork for new buildings, but to establish a legacy of excellence, courage, and sacrifice,” Oluyede stated.

He emphasized that funding the institution meant funding Nigeria’s security and prosperity.

Referring to the staff as “indomitable warriors,” Oluyede advocated professionalism, devotion, and dedication.

“Keep in mind that since you are the unbeatable, nothing should stand in your way. Nothing should make you stop performing your duties, nothing should make you lose your will to battle, and you should only relax when the task is finished,” he stated.

In order to promote maximum performance, the COAS also promised to consistently put the welfare of employees and their families first. They also expressed gratitude to President Bola Tinubu and Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State for their assistance in the battle against insecurity.

Commander of the 4 Special Forces Maj.-Gen. Hilary Nzan praised the COAS in his speech for his vision in inspiring soldiers and improving operational capability.

According to him, the opening of the training facility in Doma would “enhance training, boost morale, and create an enabling environment for optimal performance.”

“We have taken ownership of the school as its direct beneficiaries and will use it responsibly and devotedly to achieve the desired results,” Nzan continued.
