An infamous Boko Haram/ISWAP commander has been murdered by soldiers of the Joint Task Force (North East) “Operation HADIN KAI” (OPHK).
Lt. Col. Sani Uba, Media Information Officer, Headquarters Joint Task, OPHK, revealed this in a statement on Saturday in Maiduguri.
On January 30, 2026, in the vicinity of Kimba, Damboa LGA, Borno State, the terrorist was murdered.
“Troops of OPHK recorded major operational successes across the North-East, neutralizing high-value terrorist targets, disrupting insurgent activities, and foiling criminal operations through sustained, intelligence-driven actions,” the statement said.
The death of JULAIBIB, a senior ISWAP commander operating within the Gujba axis of the Timbuktu Triangle, during a confrontation near Kimba, Damboa LGA of Borno State, on January 30, 2026, has been confirmed by intelligence in a major breakthrough.
