Roselime Oluchi Ikeoha, a 40-year-old Nigerian lady, has been arrested by Indian authorities in Bengaluru in connection with a large drug trafficking investigation.
The Anti-Narcotics wing of the Central Crime Branch (CCB) seized 12 kilograms of MDMA, a dangerous synthetic narcotic, from her possession, making it one of the greatest drug seizures in Bengaluru history.
Police Commissioner B. Dayananda confirmed the arrest and stated that the drugs confiscated were valued at around ₹24 crore. Investigators discovered that Ikeoha had been running a grocery store in the TC Palya neighborhood for the past five years, purportedly as a front for her drug distribution activities.
“This was one of the largest narcotics seizures in Bengaluru and Karnataka.
“The CCB’s Narcotics Control Wing has disrupted a worldwide MDMA crystal drug network.
“They recovered 12 kg of pure white and yellow MDMA, with a total value of approximately ₹24 crore.” Dayananda spoke.
According to Dayananda, CCB officials raided Ikeoha’s premises and apprehended her based on credible intelligence. During the raid, they recovered 70 SIM cards, raising concerns about a larger criminal network.
According to officials, during interrogation, Ikeoha admitted to making unlawful profits by selling drugs at exorbitant prices.
She also allegedly offered clues on her suppliers, as well as a possible connection to a Mumbai-based heroin dealer.

“An inquiry is now ongoing to identify Ikeoha’s suppliers and determine the involvement of a Mumbai-based woman alleged to be involved in the network.
Following her arrest, the CCB Narcotics squad interrogated her, gathered evidence, and seized 12 kg of cocaine. We are currently searching for the provider.
“Further investigations will focus on identifying the Mumbai woman, understanding the reason behind the 70 SIM cards found in her possession, and determining where the drugs were sourced,” he told reporters.
Ikeoha, who entered India on a business visa five years ago, overstayed after it expired. Police have brought charges against her under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS) and the Foreigners Act.
