Nnamdi Kanu warns supporters to “be vigilant” ahead of Supreme Court’s decision December 15.

In advance of the Supreme Court’s decision on December 15 about his detention, Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, or IPOB, has warned his supporters to exercise caution.
Kanu warned his supporters to stay alert in case the so-called “fifth columnists” tried to “rock the boat” ahead of the verdict.
Kanu sent the message to his supporters on Tuesday at a meeting with his legal team at the Department of State Services (DSS) facility in Abuja, according to his Special Counsel, Aloy Ejimakor.
Remember that Kanu was taken into custody again in Kenya in June 2021 and endured an unprecedented rendition?
The Federal Government had charged Kanu with four counts of pre-rendition upon his return to Nigeria.
All but one of the four charges in the original charge were withdrawn by former Nigerian Attorney General Abubakar Malami, who replaced it with a 14-count prosecution that included allegations of terrorism and membership in a prohibited organization.
Over time, the Federal High Court lowered the charges to seven counts in response to applications, but the Court of Appeal later overturned this decision.
The Nigerian government has declined to release Kanu even after he was cleared and released.
Ejimakor shared the following update on his X handle on Tuesday: “I just left today’s visitation with Onyendu #MNK in the presence of my colleague, Barr Mandela.
