Strategic Leadership Changes Announced by NNPC Limited to Improve Governance and Efficiency In a recent statement released Wednesday evening, Chief Corporate Communications Officer Olufemi Soneye detailed NNPC Limited’s significant executive team reorganization. Titled “Leadership Appointments at NNPC Limited,” the statement highlights the organization’s commitment to enhancing corporate governance, operational efficiency, and attaining sustained success in Nigeria’s energy sector. In order to strengthen governance, leadership caliber, and operational effectiveness in Nigeria’s energy industry, the board stated that this leadership reorganization is crucial.
Adedapo A. Segun, who was previously the Executive Vice President of Downstream operations, has been promoted to the position of Chief Financial Officer, making him one of the important hires. His “significant contributions” to downstream activities were recognized by the board, which also emphasized his leadership skills in this crucial role. With the appointment of Mr. Udobong Ntia as Executive Vice President (EVP), Upstream, Isiyaku Abdullahi has assumed the position of EVP, Downstream. These changes are consistent with NNPC Limited’s objective of developing a cohesive and competent leadership team that is committed to advancing operational excellence and accomplishing the organization’s strategic goals, the board pointed out.
