Malam Aminu Ibrahim Ringim, the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) gubernatorial candidate in Jigawa State’s 2023 general election, has vowed to expose the state’s former governor, Sule Lamido, for allegations made against him in his newly released autobiography.
Lamido’s autobiography, “Being True to Myself,” covers political events in Nigeria from the end of the Second Republic to the start of the Fourth Republic, including military intervention and transition arrangements.
In response to the book, Ringim accused Lamido of twisting facts and misrepresenting his political background while speaking at the party’s gathering in Taura Local Government Area on Wednesday.
According to the NNPP chieftain, Lamideo accused former President Goodluck Jonathan in the book of detaining his son, Abdulsalam Abubakar, Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, and others for purported injustices against him.
Ringim also disputed Lamido’s argument that the PDP lost the gubernatorial election in 2015 due to the candidate’s nasty and hostile behavior.
He stated, “In the book, Lamido depicts himself as a trustworthy leader who has never mistreated anyone in his political career, which is far from the truth.

“Lamido is not being fair to himself or his political partners because some assertions are false and should be corrected.
“He claimed that the PDP lost the election because all of my political allies abandoned me during the 2015 general election, when I ran as the party’s governorship candidate.
“To be clear, the former governor is aware of the responsibilities he played in causing the PDP to lose the election despite its strength and acceptance in the state.
“I know everything about you, including your political career and personal life. If you continue to disparage me, I may be forced to divulge information that will bring you public embarrassment.
