According to Ladipo Johnson, the NNPP’s spokesperson, Nasir El-Rufai, the former governor of Kaduna State, is to blame for the anti-coalition movement against President Bola Tinubu.
Johnson reportedly said that Rabiu Kwankwaso, the national leader of the NNPP, would be in negotiations with the coalition and other political parties, including the All Progressives Congress (APC), during an interview on Arise TV’s Morning Show on Tuesday.
However, Johnson claimed that El-Rufai is the main issue they are currently facing since he spoke about the opposition coalition too quickly.
“It would have been better to finalize arrangements before revealing the coalition,” he remarked.
He stated, “It would be a lie if I said that we are not speaking to anyone. El-Rufai moved and spoke too fast, which is the reason for our current issue.
All I’m saying is that there are some things you have to put off till the very last minute when you have an incumbent administration and you believe you want to take them on. It’s easier for them to identify you and stop you when you come out to display your cards.
“Every movement and group in this country is communicating with every other group. I have folks that speak to me in my own unique style, and Kwankwaso will undoubtedly be thinking about a variety of things.

Since Kwankwaso is well aware of the state of affairs in the nation and has consistently sided with the opposition, it will depend on other factors.
Johnson continued by asserting that Kwankwaso is not about stomach infrastructure because he is a moral man and that President Bola Tinubu will choose the former Kano State governor over Abdullahi Ganduje, the national chairman of the APC.
He stated, “He’s not about stomach infrastructure. He left the ruling PDP when they were discouraged and formed the APC, and he left again when the APC took power.”
He is a principled individual, regardless of your opinion of him. Would you transport Kwankwaso to Ganduje if you were Tinubu? What are the contributions that Ganduje makes?
