Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the president, said on Wednesday that he has learned from people who continuously make fun of him.
In Benue State, where armed herders have recently killed at least 100 people, the president made this statement at a town hall meeting with political leaders.
“I’ll get insulted no matter what I do. Because I can’t see everything, I read the newspaper and take note of their comments,” Tinubu stated.

He remarked, “Your political opponents do not want you to succeed,” in reference to Hyacinth Alia, the governor of Benue State. Do you just now realize that?

Leaders from all throughout the region were urged to cooperate.
We can’t function without one.

“I want us to form a leadership committee right away so that they can meet in Abuja and develop a plan for enduring peace.” I’m prepared to make an investment in that peace,” he declared.

Along with working with all parties involved, the president instructed Alia to take on the role of a father figure to all residents of the state.

He declared the creation of a Committee of Elders to assist in determining a course for peace, which will comprise the present governor of Nasarawa State and all previous governors of Benue.

As part of the efforts to resolve the ongoing farmer-herder conflict, Tinubu also encouraged the governor to allocate land for ranching.

Tinubu appealed to the people of Benue to come together and cooperate in order to achieve enduring peace.

He also urged the government and traditional leaders to work together closely to achieve peace and stability.

Tinubu advised Alia, saying, “The yoke of leadership is insults, so be prepared for them.” Gather your lantern. Look for those leaders and collaborate to come up with answers.
