After defeating El-Kanemi Warriors 3-0 at Lafia Township Stadium on Sunday, Nasarawa United stormed back to the top of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
The Solid Miners, who momentarily retake the NPFL top spot with 27 points, made a powerful statement with their victory.
Nasarawa’s first goal came from a penalty spot in the 39th minute, and Anas Yusuf quickly doubled the lead in the 46th minute right after halftime. With a third goal in the 48th minute, Garba Mohammed completed the commanding performance, leaving the Maiduguri team reeling and sliding to 12th place in the standings.
