The 18 Local Government chairmen have been instructed by Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo to install 360 campaign billboards for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s reelection throughout the state.
According to reports, Governor Okpebholo issued the directive on Friday, January 30, 2026, at the National Renewed Hope Initiative’s Edo State chapter’s launch.
To forward President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s goal for Nigerians, the National Renewed Hope Initiative was founded.
According to Okpebholo, each Council chairman would install 20 billboards in their respective local government areas.
According to him, the purpose of erecting the billboards throughout the eighteen Local Government areas is to make sure that President Tinubu’s message of Renewed Hope reaches churches, mosques, religious institutions, and grassroots communities.
A functioning president cannot be replaced, according to the governor, who praised President Tinubu for improvements in important areas like the economy, education, security, and petroleum.
He said that Nigeria is already changing as a result of the President’s audacious and brave initiatives.
However, he urged the Edo people to back the President’s bid for a second term at Aso Rock.
Okpebholo expressed optimism that Edo residents of all ages, including young people and the elderly, are prepared to mobilize in large numbers in support of the president.
“The ability to mobilize is more important than merely the agenda. The people of Edo are ready. Asiwaju’s record in governance is unmatched. When a man is performing, we cannot replace him.
“President Tinubu’s reelection campaign is already reinforced with thirty APC governors across the country. In 2027, victory is guaranteed.
“I want local government chairmen in each of the 18 LGAs to put up at least 20 billboards so that the Renewed Hope message may be seen in churches, mosques, and grassroots communities.
“This message needs to be heard by religious groups.” Mosques and churches need to participate. Soon, religious organizations will be established.
“I pledged 2.5 million votes to Mr. President.” With the addition of Jarrett Tenebe, our party chairman, and the women’s leader, we now have 3.9 million votes. “Edo people need to fulfill this commitment,” he stated.
Earlier, the National Renewed Hope Initiative’s Edo State Coordinator, Mr. Sylvester Aigboboh, welcomed the Senatorial, Local Government Area, and Youth Coordinators for President Tinubu’s 2027 reelection.
President Tinubu’s audacious measures, according to Aigboboh, are bringing in investors and giving Nigerians new hope.
He pointed out that the benefits of eliminating the fuel subsidy are starting to show.
However, he tasked the ambassadors with promoting the policies and accomplishments of President Tinubu’s administration and stepping up grassroots mobilization.
According to the National Renewed Hope Initiative’s State Coordinator, the inauguration signaled the official start of a people-driven campaign with the goals of enhancing party outreach, encouraging good governance, and solidifying the Renewed Hope Agenda.
He called the ambassadors’ appointments a call to duty, exhorting the coordinators to promote inclusivity and unity within the All Progressives Congress, or APC, while acting as efficient conduits between the government, party leadership, and the grassroots.
“The objective of this group is to foster inclusiveness, galvanise grassroots support, and consolidate the gains towards President Tinubu’s re-election in 2027,” he said, asking members to remain loyal in service to the party and nation”, he added.
The appointed three senatorial leaders of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors are Joshua Uwagboe, Hon. Odinose Okojie, and Hon. Abdul Lawani for Edo South, Central and North senatorial districts respectively.
The appointees thanked Governor Okpebholo for the confidence reposed in them and committed to take the campaign message to the grassroots to secure President Tinubu’s re-election.
Three youth coordinators were appointed from each of the three senatorial districts, and eighteen more were appointed to oversee activities throughout the eighteen local government regions.
