Onilashe of Ilashe Marks 2nd Coronation Anniversary With Traditional Rites and Royal Attendance

The tranquil coastal community of Ilashe witnessed a significant cultural gathering as His Royal Majesty Oba Abdulhakeem Adeyimika Abidogun (Orofin Abisogun), the Onilashe of Ilashe and Sea Beach, marked his 2nd Year Coronation Anniversary with a series of traditional rites, royal visits, and high-profile attendance.

 

The anniversary began with a traditional procession, during which the Onilashe visited key ancestral shrines across the kingdom. These visits, regarded as essential components of Ilashe’s heritage, involved prayers, libation, and appeasements for the continued peace and prosperity of the land.

The shrines visited included:

1. Ogun Okun Ilashe

2. Oju Aale

3. Ogun Ijasi

4. Oju Ota

5. Esu

6. Oju Oluwa

7. Ogun Abisogun

8. Oodua

9. Odo Ogbe

Traditionalists described the annual ritual as a reaffirmation of the spiritual foundations upon which Ilashe was built.

The event drew a notable array of traditional rulers from Lagos and neighboring kingdoms. Royal fathers present included:
