Victor Osimhen, a player for the Super Eagles, has been cleared to play against South Africa in the AFCON semifinal on Wednesday (tomorrow).
The African Player of the Year trained with the team today and joined them in Bouaké, according to a press release issued by the team’s media officer, Babafemi Raji, on Tuesday.
Osimhen has been declared fit and can be selected for the match against South Africa, according to Raji.
“Victor Osimhen has been deemed healthy and eligible to play in Wednesday’s semifinal matchup against South Africa.
The statement said, “He joined the team in Bouaké and trained with the squad today.”
Osimhen will be watched in Abijdan while the other players in the squad travel to Bouake, where the game will be played, according to the earlier statement from the Super Eagles media team.
We’re going to take an Air Cote d’Ivoire flight today at 10 p.m. from Abidjan to Bouaké. He will join the rest of the team before 5 p.m. if cleared by tomorrow morning, the team said in a statement on Monday night.
