Following the publication of a video by the African Democratic Congress (ADC) showing Nafiu Bala present at the inauguration of David Mark as the party’s interim national chairman at Abuja’s Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Center, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has come under fire.
According to reports, ADC claimed that INEC representatives were also present at the event in the video posted on 𝕏.
Bala was also spotted sitting close to important individuals like Kenneth Okonkwo and Senator Ishaku Abbo.
“ADC releases video where Nafiu Bala was seen at David Mark Leadership Unveiling after he tendered his resignation,” the tweet stated. Additionally present at the event were representatives from @inecnigeria. Nafiu Bala’s attendance at the July 2025 ADC unveiling ceremony of David Mark-led leadership in Abuja was revealed in the new video.
Since then, the video has elicited conflicting responses and anger from many Nigerians, particularly in light of INEC’s recent rejection of Mark and Rauf Aregbesola as the National Chairman and Secretary of the ADC. @JADEWORLD commented, “[inecnigeria It is evident from this data that you are no longer an impartial organization. The fact that INEC has been reduced to the APC’s agent of confusion and destruction is utterly shameful.
