Ahead of the 2027 election, the PDP claims that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is in a panic.
PDP spokesperson Debo Ologunagba told reporters in Abuja on Monday that the APC is “shopping endorsements” for President Bola Tinubu.
He charged that early campaigns by the APC and its members violated the 2022 Electoral Act.
“The APC and President Tinubu are nervous about the PDP’s recalibration, which is why the ruling party is running early campaigns,” he stated.

The PDP is well-known in Nigeria for doing what it does best: bringing people together, fostering unity, fostering a feeling of belonging, and promoting reconciliation.
“The APC has now reached a new level of panic and is starting to engage in what I refer to as endorsement shopping.” The APC and the president are seeking support.
“They should let their work speak for them if the president is doing well and the APC is winning.
The APC is therefore in a panic. The truth is that they are failing and doing poorly, and they acknowledge that Nigeria is well aware of the APC’s failure to lead the nation.
“The APC government’s current state of panic is an indication that it has failed. You say, “Let’s gas and slide it,” even though you know your policy isn’t working. Nigerians have seen through this, which is why it isn’t working.

Ologunagba stated that the people must be able to freely express themselves through the voting process and that any attempt to rig the 2027 election would be opposed.

“We want the votes to represent the will of the people and to be counted. “The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is the sole entity tasked with guaranteeing this and protecting democracy,” he stated.
In order to guarantee the mandatory transmission of election results, he demanded that the Electoral Act be amended.
“It looks like there is institutional manipulation of the electoral process based on all available evidence,” he stated.

The PDP is “back and fully set,” Ologunagba continued, and will relaunch following the national convention on November 15 and 16.
Some opposition members and a number of APC leaders have supported Tinubu for a second term in power since the year began.
