Photo News: Ezendigbo Ijegun Ijeododo, entourage takes a round-off tour to honor Igbo speaking groups in Lagos

The Ezendigbo of Ijegun Ijeododo HRH Eze Dr Chika Nwokedi, wife Pst Dr Tessy Chika Nwokedi ‘Ugoeze’, cabinet chiefs & wives, executives of Igbo speaking community commenced a round off tour for end-of- year activities 2023 in Ijegun, Ijeododo and Ijagemo axis respectively to honor various groups under the jurisdiction and supervision of “Obi Eziokwu” palace.
The entourage chaperoned by HRH Chika attended Igbo Bi Na Ijeododo 1st end of year party and another event organised by Imo forum Ladipo prior to an already attended factional Igbo speaking group event championed by Obi Udo of Ijegun on 17th December, 2023.
At the Igbo Bi Na Ijeododo end of the year party, the entourage was well received as John Kennedy who spoke with Naomi Sophy Blog commended the magnanimity and efficiency of Eze Chika.
John Kennedy the secretary of Igbo Bi Na Ijeododo stated that the association was established with the aim of being an umbrella to protect the igbos in Ijeododo due to some occurrences of victimisation experienced. The executives which includes Ugochukwu as Chairman, the vice president Kelechi Mgbe, Financial secretary Nnabuike, Treasurer Chinedu, Ebuka and others took it as a mantle to establish firmly the group so as to put heads together to seek solution to arising situations, commends HRH Chika Nwokedi for being a father to all and a pillar of support to cushion the effects of trepidation and victimisation melted out on non-indigenes.
Kennedy said on several occasions HRH Chika has risen to the occasion of crisis to create an amicable resolve for the igbos in Ijeododo, he gives humanitarian services, cater for the widows amongst other things. Igbo Bi Na Ijeododo collectively reports incidences directly to HRH Chika Nwokedi the Ezendigbo of Ijegun Ijeododo who inturns steps in to create lasting solutions. He said the group is loyal to the course of the Ezendigbo’s palace, the only Eze who bears their burdens without much ado, mentioned the crisis between the igbos and Yorubas in Ijegun during the February 25th General election and how HRH Chika had resolved the truce was a show of great wisdom in his leadership abilities, advises the royal to keep up his good works.
During the outing to Igbo Bi Na Ijeododo end of the year party, some prominent cabinet members of Ezendigbo Ijegun Ijeododo gave a brief of the profile and achievements of HRH Chika,those who commented includes: Obi Udo of Ijegun Ijeododo, Chief Ben Owoh, Chief Godwin Aneme “Akajiofor”, Chief Urukanachukwu and others.

HRH CC Nwokedi Ezendigbo Ijegun Ijeododo said he had done the round off tour with his cabinet chiefs and their wives, executives of Igbo speaking and others to honour the various Igbo speaking groups under his jurisdiction of reign. He said to further show unity, he donated livestock and other gifts in appreciation for their utmost cooperation with his kingship duties, also promised to sponsor a song in praise of the group. Says the mantle of kingship is huge and time tasking, the responsibilities implies that as a leader, tasks must be fulfilled. Reveals In no distant time an Obi will be coronated in Ijeododo which will serve as an eye in that area to further ease royal duties.
