Police operatives attached to Ojodu Division have arrested three members of a one-chance gang that specialize in duping unsuspecting passengers.
This was revealed in a press statement by the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin.
The suspects are Abiodun Bamidele ‘m’ aged 48, Olumide Faleye ‘m’ aged 45, and Toyin Adekoya ‘f’ aged 49.
They were said to have been arrested at about 1030hrs on Friday following a distress call received from their victims.
The suspects while operating in a Toyota Camry car, with registration number KSF 608 GH, would disguise as driver and passengers, pick unsuspecting passengers, and start discussions about some dollars purportedly kept in the boot.
According to SP Hundeyin, further investigation by the security operatives revealed that the gang started this crime in January.
