A Nigerian Army non-commissioned officer named Abdulfatai Odutola was slain since the ransom was not paid, and his body has been retrieved by the Plateau State Police command.
During his journey to Yola, the capital of Adamawa State, on February 15, 2025, Odutola, a Senior Non-Commissioned Officer (SNCO), was kidnapped along the Abuja-Jos expressway.
A ₦20 million ransom was requested by the kidnappers to free him, according to a military internal memo that SaharaReporters was able to get.
