A Nigerian Army non-commissioned officer named Abdulfatai Odutola was slain since the ransom was not paid, and his body has been retrieved by the Plateau State Police command.
During his journey to Yola, the capital of Adamawa State, on February 15, 2025, Odutola, a Senior Non-Commissioned Officer (SNCO), was kidnapped along the Abuja-Jos expressway.
A ₦20 million ransom was requested by the kidnappers to free him, according to a military internal memo that SaharaReporters was able to get.
Please be advised, according to the memo, that MWO Abdulfatai Odutola (CC 23 BDE Yola) was abducted yesterday while traveling back to Yola along the Abuja-Jos Road. Another internal memo, however, stated that the senior staff member’s body and vehicle had been found in Jos Forest.
Following the expiration of the deadline for the payment of the 20 million naira ransom requested by his captors, police found the body of the aforementioned MWO Abdulfatai Odutola in Jos Forest.
