On Saturday morning, a thugs attacked a German jogger in the Maitama neighborhood of Abuja.
Around 8 a.m., the attacker allegedly robbed the victim of his phone and other possessions along IBB Way, close to Maitama Primary School.
According to accounts, two males on a motorcycle assaulted the victim, according to a local resident named Mathew Jamea, who stated that he worked in the neighborhood.
The attacker, however, acted alone, according to another local witness.
The police confirm the incident.
Journalists were contacted by Josephine Adeh, the spokesperson for the Federal Capital Territory Police Command, who confirmed the occurrence and said that the thugs were the only attacker.
The thief grabbed the victim’s phone while he was alone himself. The police were notified of the situation, and an inquiry is being conducted to find the phone,” she informed Daily Trust.

It is understood that citizens of the Federal city Territory have voiced their worries about what they perceive to be escalating levels of insecurity in the city.
Hannah Isayah, a civil servant, described armed robbery, kidnappings in satellite towns, phone and bike snatchers, and “one chance” thieves as threats that required immediate government response.
“Among the insecurity threats are armed robbers, ‘one chance’ robbers, bike and phone snatchers, and child stealing in some of the satellite towns,” she stated.
The Federal Capital Territory Administration has responded by forming a special task force to address insecurity and has started cleaning up shanties in the city that are thought to be home to criminals.
The US Embassy had previously cautioned its nationals against visiting government and military establishments in Abuja because of security risks.
