Nyesom Wike, the Federal Capital Territory’s (FCT) minister, has chastised lawmakers who support those who are betraying him.
During the launching of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors’ office in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Wike said that similar politicians will also be betrayed.
“If you support betrayals, people will continue to betray you in life, regardless of whether you are a senator, member of the House of Representatives, minister, or governor,” Wike stated. It is your part to betray.

Wike is the leader of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors’ Rivers State branch, which has said that political leaders in the state can rally support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu without a governor’s approval.
The statement was reportedly made by Wike on Saturday at the opening of the organization’s Port Harcourt branch.
Rivers leaders have the political clout and clout to individually mobilize support for the President, the FCT minister emphasized during his remarks at the event.
“Our goal is to serve President Tinubu,” Wike stated. We can organize without the help of a governor. We are capable of functioning on our own. The APC and PDP party chairmen are among us, as are senators, members of the Assembly, chairmen of local governments, and members of the National Assembly.
He went on to say that true political support comes from within rather than from outside guidance.
He said, “We have banded together to show our dedication because genuine support doesn’t need to be brought by someone – you have to make the commitment yourself.”
Wike went on to say that the incident was a sign of solidarity among Rivers State’s political players, pointing out that local leaders had actively sworn loyalty to the president.
Wike has been at odds with Siminalayi Fubara, the governor of Rivers State, over control of the South-South state’s political system.
