Prime Boy, a young up-and-coming artist, has filed a lawsuit for defamation against the mother of his late best friend Mohbad, Abosede Adeyemo.
On Wednesday, February 19, 2025, Prime Boy reportedly posted the court filing at the Lagos State High Court in Ikeja on his Instagram page.
Abosede was sued by Prime Boy for allegedly uttering defamatory and libellous comments against him during a March 28, 2024, video interview.
The February 12, 2025, paper claims that Abosede’s remarks, which were disseminated by a number of news outlets, were intended to harm his reputation.
According to Prime Boy, Mohbad’s mother is also responsible for ₦50 million in damages because of the malicious, false, libellous, and harmful remarks that were made about him.
Aloba, the late Mohbad’s father, has voiced concerns about the police officials looking into his son’s death.
Mohbad died almost a year and five months ago, according to reports, and his father has persisted in fighting for justice for his departed son.
Joseph stated that the police asked him to disregard the demand for justice and bury his son in a Wednesday interview with BBC Pidgin.
The father of Mohbad urged the authorities to take up the issue, emphasizing that he is entitled to know the details of his son’s demise.
