At the opening of the Ndoshimili Development Union Executive Council, University DON delivers the keynote address.
Prof. Julie Nwabogo Umukoro, a professor of theatre and film studies, unveiled “Ndoshimili Golden Age” as NDU inaugurated the Interim Ndoshimili Development Union Executive Council on December 12, 2025, at Aboh, Headquarters of Ndokwa East LGA of Delta State, as part of efforts to chart the way forward for greatness, a new era of leadership, promote unity and social cohesion, a call for one destiny, the vision for one people, and towards a brighter future for the present and future generations to come.
Prof. Julie Nwabogo Umukoro revealed this yesterday, Friday, December 12, 2025, shortly after the event, when she gave the keynote speech at the inauguration of the Ndoshimili Development Union (NDU) Interim Executive Council, which took place at Umu Ojugbeli Town Hall in Aboh, Ndokwa East LGA of Delta State.
Prof. Umukoro used the platform to praise the royal fathers, political figures, community leaders, and other dignitaries who attended the ceremony. Of particular note were the NELGA sons and daughters, who were honored in a lavish celebration on the day that also happened to be her birthday.
In an interview with our correspondent, she said that the inauguration ceremony signaled the beginning of a new era of leadership and development for the villages in Delta State’s Ndokwa East LGA. Prominent elders, thinking leaders, royal fathers, and pillars of the community attended the ceremony.
Renowned scholar and leader Professor Julie Nwabogo E. Umukoro stressed the need of unity, vision, and transformation in determining Ndoshimili’s future in her keynote speech. She said that a new age of unity, purpose, and legacy has been ushered in by the merger of the NDA and NDU.
“The Ndoshimili Golden Age is not just a dream, but a destiny waiting for a people bold enough to imagine it and disciplined enough to build it,” says a portion of Prof. Julie Nwabogo Umukoro’s keynote address at the NDU Interim Executive Council Inauguration. Unity and social cohesion, culture as a basis for progress, human capital development, strategic political voice, economic reawakening, peace, and community stability were among the Golden Age’s main foundations.
“We honor the elders, women, and youth of the Ndokwa East LGA communities, recognizing their contribution to the formation of our identity and future.” We encourage young people to actively participate in community development because they are today’s drivers rather than tomorrow’s leaders.
In order to put Ndoshimili in the forefront of growth, we implore the NDU Executive Council, under the direction of its new leadership, to reestablish confidence, restore dignity, and balance interests. A better future for the residents of Ndoshimili is anticipated as the Council’s inauguration ushers in a new era in the history of Ndokwa East LGA.
The presence of HRM, Dr. Gregory Oputa, the Obi of Aboh Kingdom, the Deputy Governor of Delta State, His Excellency Chief Monday Onyeme, the Most Distinguished Senator Barr. Ned Munir Nwoko, Hon. Nnamdi Ezechi, the Ndokwa/Ukwuani Federal House of Representatives Member, Hon. Emeka Osamuta, the Ndokwa East Constituency Member in DTHA, Hon. Emeka Osamuta, the Ndoshimili Development Union Executive Council Chairman, Chief Pharm Enebeli, and other Ndokwa East LGA sons and daughters, and too many others to list.
As the communities united to forge a new path for their shared future, the event finished with a call to action. The people of Ndoshimili are positioned for greatness because they have unity, vision, and transformation as their guiding principles.
