The Katsina State government has further relaxed the curfew in the state.

The Acting Governor of the state, Faruk Lawal-Jobe, had last week imposed a 24-hour curfew on the state after the #EndGovernance protest in the state turned violent.

He later relaxed the curfew to allow free movement of people in the state.

The Director of Press, Office of the Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Abdullahi Aliyu-Yar’adua, said in a statement on Saturday in Katsina that the curfew would now be in place from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. across in the state.

He said: “The Secretary to the Government of the State, Abdullahi Garba-Faskari, said that the acting Governor, Malam Faruk Lawal-Jobe, was satisfied with the reports on the improvement of the security situation throughout the state.

“He, therefore, ordered the review of the curfew with immediate effect.”
