Eze Chika Nwokedi host guest to a treat at the palace of Ezendigbo Ijegun Ijeododo in appreciation for being major contributors to the smooth running of affairs and events at the Obi Chukwu palace of HRH Chika Nwokedi especially in the just concluded New Yam Festival held on 17th September, 2023.
In attendance were special appearances which includes: High Chief Sunday Eze President General Igbo Speaking Community Lagos Chapter, Ambassador Adaugo Nkemjika, Triple CEO BBluv Skin Care & Spa Blessing Obiajunwa, Women Leader Igbo Speaking Community Lagos and Entourage, Wives of Ezendigbo in Lagos Queen Ajali Ijeoma Happiness, Ugoeze Nkechi Florence Emesim, Chief Kanu Okoro Kanu, Cabinet Chiefs of Obi Chukwu palace and many other personalities present.
HRH Chika Nwokedi in his speech revealed the essence of this appreciation ceremony, says it is unfair to reach out to people only when you need them to sponsor programs, it is paramount to appreciate them for the times they have heeded your call as this will spur them to do more. Special recognition awards was presented to over 30 notable individuals who are Ndigbos from various parastatal and privatized organisations and have impacted immensely in the subsequent events organized by Obi Chukwu palace. The honours were also accompanied with gifts as a custom practiced by Eze Chika Nwokedi in gratitude to deserving persons.

Ambassador Adaugo Nkemjika one of the awardees of the event stated that she is immensely thankful for being doubly honoured by HRH Chika Nwokedi in appreciation for her little support during his Festival event, described Eze as a motivation, an exceptional philanthropist and an exemplary royal father. Says she shares some similarities with HRH when it comes to magnanimity, she also likes to give freely, an act carried out for years especially at the end of the year when a special package is given out to widows.
Triple CEO Blessing Ogochukwu Obianjunwa said Eze Chika seemed fit to honour her for progressive entrepreneurship qualities as well as her positive impact in the lives of others by act of Philanthropy towards the widows, motherless babies and children subsequently. BBluv who runs a boutique, production of diapers, Skincare products & Spa revealed Eze recently commissioned a new branch of her skin care products. She advised that young ladies not to look for short cuts to success but learn to work hard, be diligent, pray and with time improvements will come. Described Eze as a very nice Man with a beautiful soul while she appreciates him for the award given, prays God continues to bless him.
Chief Morris a long time friend who honoured Eze Chika’s occasion, said their relationship was established 18yrs ago, says HRH’s success story was an envisaged one due to his hard work, diligence and display of integrity, advise HRH to continue to put God first in all he does.
High Chief Sunday Eze, the President General of Igbo Speaking Community in Lagos state told Naomi Sophy Blog that Eze Chika who was crowned just a year ago has shown capacity despite his initial unwillingness to accept the mantle of kingship. Says HRH was found worthy due to his philanthropic capabilities which has yeilded good results to the people of ijegun Ijeododo and the entire Igbo speaking community.
High Chief Sunday Eze uses the medium of the gathering of Igbo sons and daughters to implore His Excellency, Gov. Babajide Sanwo Olu the Governor of Lagos State to tamper justice with mercy concerning the clampdown on Ladipo market. Stated that Majority feeds based on the functionality of the market, the closure has led to untold sufferings of family who depends on the proceeds from their sales. Commends the governor for his humane nature while he urges that Ladipo and other market closed down for poor leadership and maintenance be opened for survival purposes as airing leaders of these markets shouldn’t be the reason why other traders suffers. Commends Eze Chika’s thoughtfulness to appreciate those who have been very supportive in helping his administration succeed.
