Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara, who is now suspended, has cautioned his supporters to exercise caution when acting or speaking on his behalf.
In order to prevent further issues for himself, the governor issued a warning to his supporters not to carry out any unapproved acts on his behalf.
Governor Fubara claims that he is the one who wears the shoes and is therefore aware of their pinching points.
Speaking at the Rivers Elders and Leaders Forum’s Night of Tributes on Sunday in honor of the late elder leader Chief Edwin Clark, he reportedly made the submission.
“Do the things I want to do, not the things you want to do,” he replied. I know how to solve my problem because I am the one wearing the shoes. I know how to deal with my issue. You do some things that ruin my peace process instead of offering me serenity. It causes me issues. I am therefore warning everyone present. To avoid giving the impression that I’m communicating with anyone secretly, I’m being serious and stating it in church.
