Key members of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB) have been apprehended and neutralized, according to National Security Adviser (NSA) Nuhu Ribadu, and the Monday sit-at-home order has lost some of its effectiveness.
According to reports, Ribadu revealed this during the All Progressives Congress (APC) national conference on Thursday while giving a presentation on the security accomplishments of the President Bola Tinubu administration.
Ribadu claims that Tinubu’s administration inherited five major security crises in the nation: Niger Delta unrest, communal/herder-farmer conflicts in the north-central region, secessionist agitations by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and Eastern Security Network (ESN) in the south-east, armed banditry in the north-west, and Boko Haram in the northeast.
According to the NSA, security services have been able to stop the widespread murders, kidnappings, and devastation committed by criminal groups nationwide by working together.

The NSA highlighted the accomplishments, stating that more than 11,000 weapons had been collected and destroyed and that over 13,543 Boko Haram fighters had been neutralized in the previous two years.

He went on to say that since the start of Tinubu’s administration, attacks on security personnel have drastically decreased, and 124,408 Boko Haram fighters and their families have turned themselves in to the military.

Important IPOB/ESN figures were apprehended or eliminated. Numerous police posts and more than fifty police stations have been restored.

“Security force attacks have drastically decreased. Economic and social activities are becoming more commonplace.

A decrease in mass abductions and the release of 11,250 hostages marked a turning point in the campaign against banditry in the northwest.
