Accusing political elites of lying and treachery, Abdullahi Bichi, the recently fired Secretary to the Kano State Government, has threatened to release what he called “explosive evidence” against them.
After being dismissed from government in December 2024, Bichi made the statement after returning from Saudi Arabia.
Speaking to his followers in a widely shared video on Thursday, he charged the leaders with treachery and dishonesty.
“I’m glad I got out of the workplace without incident, but let me be clear: this is not the ideal moment to speak. We’ll reveal them when it’s time.

Bichi claimed to have voice notes, movies, and papers that would reveal their true selves to everyone.
His suspension from the New Nigeria People’s Party on October 14, 2024, exposed the former SSG’s tense relationship with Governor Abba Yusuf and his mentor, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso.
Bichi called the leaders “masters of betrayal” and claimed that his evidence would show how their connection functions on the inside.
“Treason is the only thing they know. “You can’t trust them,” he continued.
Kano citizens and political observers are speculating wildly about this development.
Many are anticipating Bichi’s potential to carry out his threats and the potential political upheaval in Kano.
Bichi allegedly planned to break Yusuf’s connections to Kwankwaso’s political power.
His membership in the party with Muhammad Diggol, the Transportation Commissioner at the time, was later suspended.

Hashimu Dungurawa, the State NNPP Chairman, announced the suspension of the two government officials, stating that the party had received several complaints from the party’s ward and local government leadership.
According to Dungurawa, the two officials were suspended for their disrespect toward the party and its leadership.
“Actions that compromise the party’s structure and leadership are unacceptable,” he said.
We have no choice but to take this drastic action after their wards formally complained to us and the local leadership confirmed the charges.
“The NNPP’s Kano North leadership, led by Sulaiman Dambatta, confirmed the accusations further, ultimately resulting in the decision to suspend both officials.”
