The African Democratic Congress, or ADC, lost the Abuja Municipal Area Council, or AMAC, election for the reasons that Sumner Sambo, Director of News and Political Editor at Arise News, has pointed out.
In the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), the All Progressives Congress (APC) was said to have won five of the six area council chairmanships.
The recently chosen chairs are:
Joshua Ishaku (APC) won the chairmanship seat in Bwari after receiving 18,466 votes.
Council for the Abuja Municipal Area (AMAC): Chris Garki (APC)
Gwagwalada: Mohammed Kasim (PDP)
Samuel Danjuma Shekwolo (APC) is Kuje.
Nuhu Daniel Kwali (APC) is Kwali.

The ADC lost everything in the elections, which confirmed the APC’s hegemony in the FCT. The opposition Peoples Democratic Party, or PDP, won just the Gwagwalada Area Council.
Sambo stated on Arise News that the party’s chances must have been impacted by the ADC chairmanship and vice chairmanship candidates’ lack of indigenous ancestry.

The reason the ADC would have lost the AMAC election is the next topic we should discuss. Since the presidency’s seat is located there, the Abuja Municipal Area Council serves as both the FCT’s and Nigeria’s administrative center. Being a multicultural region, it contains communities that are connected to it.
Many of these villages were not visited by the ADC during their campaign. They were unable to reach the approximately 49 villages that separate our districts since the ADC was still in its early stages of development.
