The victims, including included men, women, and children, were reportedly attacked on Sunday night while traveling from Zak village to Sabon Layi hamlet to attend an Islamic ceremony.

According to the story, two princes and the delegation’s religious leader were among those abducted.

The publication claims that the travelers were attacked on the fringes of the hamlet at around 8 p.m.

According to reports, the gunmen kidnapped every passenger and left their car on the side of the road.

Concern and a search by locals followed the discovery of the abandoned car on Monday morning by other drivers, which was reportedly owned by a community leader in Zak.

The community discovered the car was transporting the kidnapped travelers during inquiries, according to the report, which also noted that residents’ attempts to find the victims had failed.

Security agencies have been informed of the occurrence, it stated.

In the meantime, attempts to contact the state’s police spokesperson, Alabo Alfred, failed since he did not return calls or texts.
