The suspended lawmaker from Kogi Central, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, will stay suspended until the Senate returns from recess in two months, according to the Senate.
This was said by Yemi Adaramodu, the red chamber of the National Assembly’s spokesperson, during an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today program on Tuesday.
This came just hours after the suspended lawmaker was prohibited by the Senate from returning to his legislative duties at the National Assembly in Abuja.
“The National Assembly and Senate together have a part to play. We are lawmakers, not bystanders who study the creation of content and skits. At first, the material had been produced and was evolving into seasoned movies.

He declared, “The Senator is still suspended and will stay suspended until the Senate returns from recess in two months.”
Remember how Senator Natasha was suspended in March 2025 for allegedly breaking Senate rules? She accused Senate President Godswill Akpabio of sexual impropriety, a charge Akpabio disputed, and they argued over seat arrangements.
The lawmaker was prohibited on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, when he attempted to resume Senate sessions.
